Hà Nội announces two COVID-19 patients
HÀ NỘI — Hà Nội authorities on Saturday announced two coronavirus-positive patients, who were both quarantined at home at the time of detection.
One is a Libyan diplomat and the other a man who was treated for the virus after being repatriated from France but has since tested positive again during his home quarantine.
He is a 五 五-year-old from Đống Đa District. Samples have been taken from both his daughter and a taxi driver who he came into contact with.
The man was discharged from hospital on December 一 and was quarantined at home. His sample was taken for test for the first time on December 三 and the result on December 四 confirmed he was positive again. The patient is currently being treated at National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 二.
The other positive case is a 五 四-year-old Libyan man who lives and works in Việt Nam. On November 一 二, he flew to Turkey and stayed there until November 一 九 to bring his wife and four children, to Việt Nam on Flight QR 九 七 六, which transited in Doha (Qatar) and landed at Nội Bài airport on November 一 九.
As he is a diplomat, he and his family were quarantined at their residence in Bắc Từ Liêm District. On November 一 九, the district Medical Centre took samples for tests and the results confirmed all of them negative.
The patient, who has underlying high blood pressure and cardiovascular diseases, felt tired on November 三0 and was brought to Đức Giang General Hospital for treatment in a specialised vehicle. He was brought back to his home on December 一, and the result of his sample test on December 三 was positive. He then was moved to National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 二 for treatment and quarantine. His wife and children have all tested negative. — VNS
